Getting Back Into Employment

2nd March 2022 By E. Morgan

The Foundation of Light are working alongside Livin Housing association to help those who reside in the Durham area, who are currently out of education, training and employment or looking for new opportunities to bring a new one to one scheme.
We have a work coach Sue Kane who will now be located across the Durham area for all employability needs, to give advice, update a CV , help get back into employment through a mentoring programme and practical sessions. Give tips on job searching techniques, give a variety of opportunities that we have through our partners and help guide through the steps to gain better skills and better chances.
Or It may be just to simply have a chat – Call in and speak to Sue in one of our below locations, We are here for anything that can ease a potentially tough time of being unemployed and overcome the barriers. This is for any age group from school leavers to retirement age, we are here for you and can help. It could be that you work with someone, a client, parent, carer, or participant that has been made redundant, out of work for a variety of reasons or are wanting to upskill, their hours may not be right for them, or they may be just unhappy in what they are doing.
Drop in sessions are also available in the following locations.

Tuesday 12pm -2pm – Foundations Building , Shildon DL4 1DX
Wednesday 12pm-2pm – Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre, DL5 4HT
Thursdays 12pm – 2pm Trimdon Village Hall TS29 6JX

Fridays 10 am – 12pm St Pauls Community Centre DL16 7SG

We also have a variety of courses accessible through one of our many hubs located in the Northeast and online which could also help as well as the one 2 one programme.
