At Belmont Community School we have experience of supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs including:
- Those with Communication and Interaction needs, such as students with Autism Spectrum Condition and other Speech, Language and Communication needs.
- Students with Cognition and Learning needs, for example students who have dyslexia, dyspraxia or other learning difficulties.
- Students who have needs due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, for example students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Students who are visually or hearing impaired and those with physical difficulties.
The school provides data on the levels and types of need to the Local Authority. This is collected through the school census.
