Our Knowledge Organisers set out the core knowledge students need to learn for each topic area in order to achieve their best within every subject across our curriculum.
Students should practice retrieving information from memory regularly. This could be through quizzing or free-recall, for example:
- Writing down everything they can remember from the Knowledge Organiser
- Studying a specific area within the knowledge organiser using “Look, Cover, Write, Check“
- Learning key words and definitions
- Recalling and organising the information into a different format using “Mapping from Memory“
- Being tested on, or explaining the content to someone else using “Elaboration“
