Paper Re-cycling

May 11, 2026 By E. Morgan

Wow! Look at all those bags of paper recycling collected this morning here at Belmont Community School. We are all working hard to protect the environment and to recycle as much as we can, very appropriate on David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.

Thankyou Twinkl

April 24, 2026 By E. Morgan

Here at Belmont Community School we are delighted to have been awarded funds towards the purchase of dance costumes. The kind people at Twinkl provided £150 to enable costumes to be bought which were worn at the recent Gala Theatre Dance performance. This was a great support for us and we really appreciate the kind people at the Twinkl Community Collection Fund.

National Year of Reading

February 13, 2026 By E. Morgan

This week we have launched the National Year of Reading at Belmont with a series of assemblies for Years 7-10 to explore the importance of reading for pleasure, learning and life.

The Spring Term theme is ‘Reading in the Room’ and we will explore high quality texts that link to subjects across the curriculum.  Students can also visit our library which will feature Recommended Reads from each department.

Look out for our World Book Day celebrations, including a weekly tutor quiz house competition, in March.

For more information about the National Year of Reading for families please see this link.
