Emotional Well-being Drop In

The Specialist Community Public Health Service are running an emotional well-being community drop in for parents to attend if they have any worries about their children or themselves. It will be held at Laurel Ave Children’s Centre between 2 and 4pm, on Monday 30th October.

The emotional resilience nurse will be present to offer support and school nurses will be available to discuss other health issues.

Mammalweb

Some of our year 10 and 9 students have been working with Pen-Yuan Hsing (“Pen”) of the Department of Biosciences (@DurBiol) at Durham University on the MammalWeb citizen science project (www.MammalWeb.org@MammalWeb).

Since last year, they have set up motion sensing camera traps in the wilderness to snap photos of local wildlife such as deer’s or red foxes. This is the short film the students contributed to alongside Pen and the Citizen scientists .
